No word yet on local availability and pricing but it's available now in the US and a single router is priced at US$249.99 (~S$340) while a three-pack bundle is US$499.99 (~S$680). I am very happy with the performance, advanced configuration option, and price of the Velop and recommend this system a lot. Linksys Velop AX4200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System, 4 Ports, Tri-Band 2.4 GHz/5 GHz (MX4200) Delivers next-level streaming and gaming to more than 40 devices on. Like all Velop mesh networking systems, the Velop AX4200 is easy to set up and all it takes is the Linksys app and a bit of poking around to get everything up and running. That's one less LAN port than the Velop MX5300. Round the back, it has a single USB 3.0 port, a single Gigabit Ethernet WAN port, and three Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports. ![]() The Velop AX4200 has a dual-core 1.4GHz processor and it's tri-band configuration supports speeds of up to 600Mbps on its 2.4GHz network and 1,200Mbps and 2,400Mbps respectively on its two 5GHz networks. The processor is slower and the supported maximum throughputs are lower. The differences, therefore, are on the inside. And looking at the spec sheets, the Velop AX4200 has the same dimensions as the more powerful Velop MX5300. The Linksys Velop AX4200 is the brand’s latest offering to the market and offers a 3-piece solution for 499.99. ![]() Indeed, the new mesh system costs 500 for a set of three units. It terms of the design, the two are identical – white, tall, and blockish. The Velop is an effective mesh Wi-Fi router, but it doesnt have a competitive edge due to its high cost and limited feature set. ![]() Linksys has just released the Velop AX4200, a cheaper alternative to the Velop MX5300 that we saw earlier this year. Linksys releases more affordable Velop AX4200 Wi-Fi 6 mesh networking system
